Pt. Parameshwar Hegde started learning Hindustani music when he was barely ten. Very soon, under the guidance of Sri.S.M.Bhat and Pt.Chandrashekar Puranika Math, his interest in music grew into a passion. In 1976 the young Parameshwar Hegde went to Dharwad to seek advanced training under Padma Vibhushan Pt. Basavaraj Rajguru. The maestro, who had made a relentless quest for music by training under no less than 12 of the best maestros of the Kirana, Gwalior and Patiala ghranas, took an immense liking for the young vocalist.

An 'A' grade artist on All India Radio, Pt. Parameshwar Hegde has been featured in several national broadcasts. He also has several composes and recordings and directed music to Television and Film. Govt. of Karnataka has honored him with Rajyotsava Award in the year 2004. Mysore Dasara,Hampi Festival, Savai Gandharva Festival Pune, Tansen Sangeet Samaroh Bhopal, AIR Sangeet Sammelan Impala are to name a few major festivals he has
been an attraction for years. He is a resident of Bangalore but regularly travels on concert tours abroad, to the U.S.A, Canada, United Kingdom and the Gulf countries.

The music of Pt.Parameshwar Hegde is marked by an adherence to the principles of purity and restraint. In addition, Pt. Hegde brings to his art his own fine imagination, which takes flight in passages of subtle and daring improvisation.

Pt.Parameshwar Hegde is undoubtedly a genuine custodian of the art of Pt.Basavaraj Rajguru one of the greatest musicians of our era. Being an organizer and Guru of music he has established Rajguru Smruti and Parameshwar Hegde Music Academy, to promote the music and talented young musicians locally and internationally.

Shri. Kishore Kulkarni is a very well known and well appreciated Tabla artist in Toronto. He has been a enthralling the music lovers and extremely supportive for the musicians. He has accompanied many famous artists in classical and semi classical versions of music. Shri. Kulkarni has learned Tabla from Pt. H.Taranath Rao, Mumbai in Guru -Shishya tradition. He is helping the community gain with his expertise by guiding many students in Toronto. He has performed in Gulf countries, USA and many concerts in Canada.

Shri. Raya Bidaye is originally from Bombay where he started playing harmonium. As one of the best harmonium players in Canada he is asked to accompany Indian musicians from a variety of genres from classical to ghazals to light film music. He has accompanied many leading exponents of Indian classical music such as Prabha Atre, Laxmi Shankar and the late Jitendra Abhisheki.. His harmonium is heard on many recordings and Raya has played in many major centres in North America including Toronto, Montreal, New York, Chicago and Houston. He is a genuine treat for the audience.
